Sri Gowri Sankar Hails from palur near Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu. He was trained in shiva agamam and yajur vedam at the Shri Chandrasehekarendra saraswathi viswa mahavidyalaya.
He has earned the sivagama chudamani certificate based on his proficiency in Sanskrit. In addition he is well versed in thevaram and thiruppugazh He was a priest at the thyagaraja temple (singaperumal koll) and ekambara nathar temple (Kanchipuram) for nearly 10 years. He also has expertise in the special decoration of deities and in various poojas.
